WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ABOUT?!
The history, ideology, and philosophy of "DESTRUCTION X DOLL" derives from the old Ghanian concept of "Sankofa" (SAHN -KOH-FAH), meaning "to go back and get," or in order to move forward into the future with something you want or love, it is no harm to retrieve what has been forgotten so that you can bring peace, knowledge, and wisdom unto that thing. A huge part of inspiration for my creativity comes from elder subcultures, countercultures, and alternative spaces that were more times than not deemed too extreme and shunned by the world. From the women who were told they were too boisterous and messy to take up spaces, Artists who were presumed and looked at as nutcases and spazzes of society instead of humans who may have the closest connection to the answers of the Universe, to marginalized communities, specifically Black, Brown, and Queer, that broke the Stone-walled barriers (pun intended), I will always pay my respects to those who even dared to go outside the grain just so I can live the life that I strive to have for myself and one where I hope I get the chance to inspire has many people who are willing to listen as possible so that they are able to do the same.
The DESTRUCTION X DOLL brand has gone through a series of transformations (mainly aesthetically) but under the same guise of its original purpose; to assure others that it is possible to find inspiration and okay to look back on the past in order to form new ideas of creativity that can be curated into the present and the future. I conceived this baby and birthed its big head out for days, weeks, and months through times where I've been going through what I thought was my best, my worst, and the calm before the storm, and yet its only made me stronger and closer to myself and art. I've been on the internet providing content for a decade now even at my young age of (almost) 23 but it wasn't until reaching my 20s that I actually decided I wanted my voice to reach out to the masses, whether THEY wanted to hear it or not. If you can't tell already, my main influences come from 70s, 90s, and 90s Punk, Grunge, and Alternative characters I admired in my childhood and adolescent years, even going into my adulthood;

And this is barely scratching the surface! If you see me online you know I'm also big on EDM and raving, an R&B-grown princess, and lover of all things Hip Hop culture.
I'm keen on the idea that music is an enormous reflector of its time, whether it's being reflected by the state of the world and its politics or doing onto the reflection of other art within its realm like fashion. There is no bigger time machine than music and fashion and that it is why its most important that we implement these principles so that we DON'T lose what we have! Whatever you gain out of this experience with me, I hope you truly are able to the make the most out of it and then some -- even if just at a little price.
